My Top 5 Things to do on the North Coast
In my previous blogs I talked about the different towns that you should visit on the North Coast. In this blog post, I’m going to talk about my favourite places in the North Coast and where I recommend you to go!
Magheracross Viewpoint
First is the Magheracross viewpoint. This is quite a new viewing point having been completed in 2021. With two viewpoints right on the edge of the cliff, it offers stunning panoramic views of the Whiterocks beach and Dunluce castle. The sights that you can see are breathtaking, for example, I took these videos on a cold and windy day in October but it still looks beautiful. I love coming here because I never tire of this view.
Mussenden Temple
Another one of my favourite places to go is Mussenden Temple and Downhill House. Aside from the beautiful building and the views you can see from it overlooking the cliffs, the history of this place is really interesting which you can learn throughout your walk around the estate through the signs. It is such a peaceful setting looking onto the gorgeous landscape.

Castlerock Beach
There are so many amazing beaches to go to on the North Coast. But one that I love to go to at any time of the year is Castlerock beach. It’s a kilometre long beach that allows cars to park on the beach. I used to enjoy coming here when I was younger and looking in the rockpools. And with amenities close by it allows you to spend the whole day there!
Morton’s Ballycastle
Morton's Ballycastle is a little
fish and chip shop, located in Ballycastle. This is somewhere we go as a treat! The fish that Morton's uses has been caught and brought in by the shop’s own boat. It serves delicious food and is the best fish and chip shop in the UK according to the Times.
Carrick-a-Rede
This is one of the North Coast’s most popular attractions. This is a rope bridge that is 20 metres long and is suspended 30 metres above the sea and the rocks. It’s not for everyone and takes some guts to make it across but it’s a great experience to do!
